St George’s Day 2014

Date: 27th Apr 2014 Author: Scout Websites

Well done to everyone who took part in our St George’s Day celebration – a chance to renew our commitment to our Scouting values – as set out in the Promise and Law.

We have begun to publish some photographs of the event in the Gallery, including the bell boating for Explorer Scouts after the service in the Cathedral. Why not send in your pictures to media@chesterscouts.org.uk?

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
