Proud of the past…Excited about the future

2010 – Our centenary year

Chester and District was formed in 1910 to serve Scouting locally. We launched our celebrations of the Centenary at a special reception at Chester Guildhall on 14 January 2010 with a programme of events throughout the year. Details have appeared on this web site and in our newsletter.

Chester Gang Show wrote and performed a special song for the Centenary.

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
