Season’s Greetings!

Date: 4th Jan 2021 Author: David Bull

A happy new year to all – let’s hope that after the challenges of 2020 we’ll be meeting up more normally very soon!

That said, Scouts in Cheshire will continue to follow the national guidance and reflect our readiness level in line with the tier each District is in currently. With Chester and District now in Tier 4, this means that Scouting here is back at RED meaning only online Scouting can take place. It is important that wherever possible we try to provide some online Scouting and encourage friendship groups and integration between our members. HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
