Roman Day for Beavers

Date: 22nd Sep 2015 Author: Scout Websites

Eighty-five Beaver Scouts from nine Beaver Colonies [Cestrian, 5th Blacon, 8th Chester, 18th Chester, 1st Christleton, 1st Malpas, 1st Saltney, 1st Saughall and 1st Tarporley] enjoyed the sunshine on Sunday 13 September as they, along with their leaders, young leaders and parent helpers, explored the city of Chester – Roman style. Dressing, marching and learning about Roman soldiers was quite an adventure in the morning as well as working on observation skills while walking the Walls on a picture trail. After a picnic lunch everyone explored the Grosvenor Museum learning more about the Romans and Chester’s history.
A good day was had by all. A huge thank you to everyone who took part in the event for their assistance and support.
