Beaver Scout Challenge

Date: 9th Jan 2014 Author: Scout Websites

The 2013 Chester District Beaver Challenge was held at the 18th Chester headquarters at Westminster Park on Saturday 23 November. Four colonies were represented – Cestrian, Tarvin, Christleton and the 18th Chester.

Each team of six Beavers undertook five different challenges in which they were scored based upon their “absolute” result and also their team working skills. Looking over the results it was great to see that each team won at least one of the challenges – Cestrian won the flags challenge, Tarvin the bean bag throw, Christleton the spaghetti towers and the 18th won the nature challenge.

The results were close, with Cestrian, newcomers to this event, the overall winners (pictured) who will go on to the represent the District at the County event early in 2014. We wish them every success!

Thanks to all the teams, both Beavers and leaders, and to Jane Shortall for organising the event.
