Date: 1st Jun 2021 Author: David Bull

Thank you to all the thirty-one volunteers who have recently had their service to Scouting recognised by the Chief Scout. In all the total number of years’ service comes to 785! Special congratulations to Eric Plenderleath and Peter Slater on receiving the sixty years award. The full roll of honour is here.

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
