Volunteers’ Week

Date: 1st Jun 2020 Author: David Bull

In a special message to all volunteeers on 1 June, Alan Wilding (our District Commissioner) said:

This is Volunteers’ Week and I would like to thank  you all personally for the time you spend volunteering for Scouts in  Chester and District. I am aware that many of you put in hours of your time to help deliver good quality Scouting to the young people in the district.

At this time, while face-to -ace Scouting is suspended, many of you have risen to the challenge to deliver virtual Scouting or to set tasks for our members, which has helped our young members stay connected with their friends and with the Movement..

Others of you are key workers, caring for the sick and elderly, teaching the children of key workers, producing and delivering food and essential items – you deserve a special thank you.

So once again, thank you for your volunteering with Chester and  District Scouts!
